Hey there guys!
So, today’s post is going to be a book haul and I am stoked about it. I recently bought a considerable amount of books and I thought it would be fun to share it with you guys. I personally really love haul posts because I am super nosy and I like to see what people buy! I realized that when it comes to books, I am the type of reader who buys one or two books at a time, reads at least one or two of them and then buys more from there so I never feel like I have the chance to do a book haul.
The past couple weeks I splurged on books though and today is the day I get to do a haul for you! I noticed recently that I have grown to really like science fiction and thriller books a lot so some of the books I bought reflect that! I’m stoked! Let’s begin!
Tequila Mockingbird by Tim Federle
When I saw this at Barnes and Noble I had to pick it up! It is basically a really cool recipe book full of cocktails, but not just any cocktails but literary cocktails! This book is full of fun drinks named after books! It is super cool, and a lot of them I would actually want to drink.
Armada by Ernest Cline
I have wanted this book for a long time now. I’m pretty sure it has to do with aliens and other cool sci-fi stuff that I am totally on board for but the main reason why I wanted this book was because Ernest Cline also happened to write one of my favorite books ever(Ready Player One, go read it if you haven’t!), so naturally, I need to read his other one!
The Cellar by Natasha Preston
My friend and I actually both bought a copy of this book because we thought it sounded so good and pretty suspenseful too! Basically about a girl who is kidnapped and kept in a cellar with other girls and about the captor himself. By reading the back of the book you can pick up that there is a creep factor with lots of secrets that may be uncovered. I’m really excited to read this book this spring!
Everything’s Eventual by Stephen King
I have always been such a baby when it comes to horror and Stephen King but since I have really been enjoying thrillers lately I figured why not delve into the best thriller author there is? Everything’s Eventual is a book or short stories which will ease me in nicely I think! Then I’ll read one of his full on novels, let me know which one is your fav and maybe I’ll pick it up!
I already read the first short story called “Autopsy Room 4” and I liked it a lot, can’t wait to make it through the end of the book!
Hatchet by Gary Paulsen
At Barnes and Noble, Joey and I saw signed copies of Hatchet and we needed to get one. The guy working there said they got them in for Black Friday but they got lost in the back room and are just now selling them, so that’s pretty neat. We had to get one because Hatchet is one of Joey’s all time favorite books so it’s just a super cool thing to have a signed copy.
Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff
I ended up reading this book super fast after purchasing it. I did a whole book review about it here, so I’m not going to talk too much about it now, just check out the other post!
Behind Her Eyes by Sarah Pinborough
I recently joined book of the month club and this is the latest book they sent me. I don’t know much about it but I know it is a mystery/ thriller so I’m pretty sure I will like it. Just by judging it by the cover (which I know I shouldn’t do) it looks really good!
That’s all the books I got! hope you liked my little book haul post! Let me know if you read any of these and what you thought of them!
